BJP to launch nationwide campaign on achievements and goals of Operation Sindoor

The BJP is gearing up to launch a comprehensive campaign aimed at informing the public about the achievements and goals of Operation Sindoor, a retaliatory military operation that struck terror camps in Pakistan. Sources revealed that the strategic move seeks to ensure clear communication regarding the operation’s objectives and successes, which have been a subject of concern among opposition parties. The campaign will span multiple levels, covering state capitals, districts, and divisions across the country.

In response to mounting opposition concerns, the BJP plans to hold its first press conference to directly address the operation’s specifics. Senior party leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, are expected to clarify the operation's purpose and elaborate on its accomplishments. The press conference will provide a platform to answer questions regarding the mission and counter opposition's criticisms, focusing on the success of India's military strikes on terror sites.

The campaign's communication strategy was discussed in detail during a meeting held at BJP President JP Nadda's residence. The discussion, attended by prominent leaders like Ashwini Vaishnav and several general secretaries, emphasized the need for effective messaging. As the party plans to move forward with the campaign, the aim is to strengthen the public’s understanding of Operation Sindoor and its pivotal role in India’s security strategy.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra highlighted the armed forces' significant achievements during Operation Sindoor, stressing that five primary goals were met. Among these, ensuring no harm to civilians during retaliatory strikes was a key priority. Patra also recounted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vow to avenge the 26 lives lost in the Pahalgam terror attack, which led to the operation. He emphasized that the PM's decision and the forces' bravery effectively dismantled terror camps and dealt a significant blow to Pakistan-based terror operations.

As tensions remain high, India and Pakistan recently reached a ceasefire understanding, and fresh talks between the two countries' Directors General of Military Operations (DGMO) are underway.
